Lily Catastrophe
Lily Catastrophe is an award-winning comedian and burlesque performer based in te Whanganui-a-Tara, Aotearoa (Wellington, New Zealand).
Winner of Best New Comedian at the Wellington Comedy Awards 2024 and Breakthrough Comedian a year later at the Wellington Comedy Awards 2025, she is one of the most exciting comedians working in Wellington currently.
Lily cemented her status as one to watch with her debut solo comedy cabaret BOTTOM SURGERY. BOTTOM SURGERY received wide critical acclaim during its sell-out seasons at the New Zealand Fringe Festival 2025 and the New Zealand International Comedy Festival in 2025. BOTTOM SURGERY won Best Cabaret at the Nelson Fringe Awards and Lily was nominated for Most Promising Emerging Artist during the New Zealand Fringe Awards and Best Newcomer - Wellington at the New Zealand International Comedy Festival Awards. In 2026, Lily performed her first solo stand-up hour, Little Sister, during the New Zealand International Comedy Festival.
She has performed internationally, touring BOTTOM SURGERY across New Zealand and Australia, and was invited to be a featured performer at the Saskatoon International Burlesque Festival in 2024 and 2025.
